Here are some of the assumptions people made after they saw “this website may harm your computer” warning under every search result in Google on Saturday 30Th January 2008.


Here are the assumptions people made about the bug (pretty interesting!)

” The internet is doomed I tell ya, doomed! In IE, Safari, Firefox and Opera I am getting “This site may harm your computer” under every search link! Eek. I’m checking for a virus right now but my machine’s up-to-date so I’m not expecting anything. I have cleared internet data down in all browsers. This looks serious. A bad google script/update? Or a worldwide virus? Or just a virus on my machine? time will tell…”

“yeah at first i thought like my parents were blocking some websites but its all across the world wtf is going on”

“I thought it was because of my safari browser. I Uninstalled it!”

“Phew! I am not the only one who is having it”

“You can browse using Yahoo no problem, makes a pleasent change.”

“I have it too, and strangle when searching for astronomical keywords, didn’t try others”

What was my reaction when i first saw it?
I thought my Portable Firefox has some bug!
