Google latitude another product by Google seems to asking twitter “where are you”!
What is Google Latitude?
A Google Maps mash-up that will tell your friends (also your mom and wife/girlfriend) about your current location on a Map!
“What Google Latitude does is allow you to share that location with friends and family members, and likewise be able to see friends and family members’ locations,” said Steve Lee Product manager Google Inc
Google will suggest your location not only based on GPS device but through other parameters like nearest Tower and wireless networks.
What’s in it for you?
If you have liked twitter, you would probably like Google Latitude! It would be a great way to catch up with friends after office time. Or keeping a tab on your family members.

Which cellphones will it support?
The service would be available on Google maps for Mobile. Nokia, HTC and other mobiles which work on Windows Mobile / Symbian /Android operating systems.
Initially the service would be available in 27 countries.
What is in it for Google?
Google is probably going to monetize the service through location based advertising!
Certainly, the service looks promising!
