If you have just plugged in your iPOD/Mp3 player/ USB device PC and don’t get any pop-up.

Here is an easy solution:

Step 1:
Locate My Computer on the desktop:

Step 2.
Right Click on it and select properties:

Step 3
From the window choose> “Hardware” tab > then click on “Device Manager”

Step 4
Right click on computer icon and choose “scan for hardware changes”

Once you click on “scan hardware” the computer should detect any of the devices that are installed.
