Outsourcing People- IBM asks emplyees to move to India

In a major cost cutting endeavor. IBM the giant of computer industry USA have asked it’s employees to move to India.

The employees would get lower salaries according to the living standard and hence help the company in cutting the costs.
“A lot of people want to work in India.It’s more of a vehicle for people who want to expand their life experience by working somewhere else,” said [an IBM] spokesman.
This is one of the major move in Global Outsourcing Method that could change the way outsourcing is done.
Can we expect this new trend of shifting people to India (instead of work) grow especially in this recession! Or may be a step ahead of shifting office offshore?
